Navigating the Political Climate – A Case Study to Explore

Politics.  Yuck.  We don’t like them.  But, they are a reality on most, if not all projects.  The best Project Managers know a trick.  Don’t wait for political situations, anticipate them.  Actively seek them out, and look for creative resolutions…  But how do we know what situations to watch out for?  How do you identify politics?  How do you identify the ‘real problem’, not just what’s on the surface?  And once you've identified the problem, how do you resolve it? This presentation will focus on a real life political situation that occurred on very large, complex project. Through brainstorming, participants will actively participate in identifying and resolving the ‘real problem(s)'.  Not just the obvious problems, but the deeper issues.    After discussion of the real issues and ideas for resolution, the facilitator will share the actual resolution that took place.  Participants can expect a thought provoking, challenging, and engaging session that will provide real world tips and tricks to utilize immediately on their own projects.  This is a session not to be missed!
